Custom Tribal Tattoos in Toronto—Designed With Meaning, Worn With Pride.
We’re a Toronto tattoo studio focused on Polynesian, Māori, and Filipino tribal tattoos—from forearm bands to full sleeves and back pieces. Our mission: designs that honour tradition, fit your body, and last beautifully.
Who We Are
Tribal Tattoo Toronto is led by Michael Tran —a Toronto-based artist with 8+ years’ experience crafting bold blackwork and culturally respectful tribal designs. We serve clients across Toronto & the GTA (North York, Mississauga, Scarborough, Vaughan, Markham, Etobicoke, Brampton, Richmond Hill) and welcome travelers from across Canada and the US.
What we specialize in
- Polynesian tribal tattoos (Samoan, Tahitian, Marquesan flow)
- Māori-inspired patterns (koru, spiral, lineage storytelling)
- Filipino tribal motifs (Kalinga, Visayan symbols: sun, rice, serpent, warrior)
- Large-scale pieces: tribal sleeves, chest panels, back pieces, leg bands
- Extensions, re-lines, cover-ups to refresh or expand older work
Cultural Respect Comes First
We collaborate with intent and care. During your consult, we:
- Discuss your story and avoid sacred/restricted elements.
- Explain symbol meanings and how they flow on your anatomy.
- Design a one-of-a-kind piece that’s respectful and personal—never copy-paste.
Why Clients Choose Us
- Design clarity: We translate complex motifs into clean, timeless blackwork.
- Body-first flow: Patterns wrap muscles naturally for powerful symmetry.
- Comfort & pace: Efficient sessions; schedule-friendly for busy professionals.
- Longevity: Bold black, correct needle technique, SPF guidance = ink that ages well.
- Trusted reputation: Returning clients for extensions, re-lines, and cover-ups.
