Studio Policies
At Tribal Tattoo Toronto, every freehand design Michael creates is built exclusively for you — drawn onto your skin, never traced from a template, and never repeated. That level of care goes both ways. These are the policies that protect the trust between artist and client, so we can keep creating custom tribal work that honors tradition and lasts a lifetime. Here's what we ask of you:
Design ownership & exclusivity — Every freehand tribal design is drawn specifically for your body and your story. Please don't copy, trace, screenshot, or ask another artist to recreate your consultation design or reference. Respecting the exclusivity of your art also respects the ancestral meaning behind it.
Deposits — A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm every booking and is applied toward your final tattoo cost. No-shows and late cancellations forfeit the deposit.
Appointments & punctuality — Please arrive on time for your freehand session. A 15-minute grace period is provided; arriving later than that without notice may be treated as a no-show and your deposit will not be refunded.
Rescheduling & cancellations — We ask for at least 48 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel. Less notice than that means forfeiting your deposit, and a new deposit is required to rebook.
Age & ID — Clients must be 18 or older with valid government-issued photo ID. No exceptions, and no guardian consent accepted.
Health & readiness — Come rested, hydrated, and fed, and avoid alcohol or blood-thinning medication for 24 hours before your session. Pregnant or nursing clients will be asked to reschedule for their safety.
Studio conduct — Tribal Tattoo Toronto operates inside Rotten Ink Tattoo Studio. Please keep guests to a minimum and leave children at home so Michael can stay focused on your freehand linework.
Aftercare — Healed results are a shared commitment. Following your aftercare instructions exactly protects your skin, your investment, and the freehand artwork built to last a lifetime.
Touch-ups — One complimentary touch-up is included within 8–12 weeks of your session for healing issues covered under our guarantee. Touch-ups needed due to missed aftercare or lifestyle factors (like sun exposure) may carry a fee.
Photography — Healed photos of your tattoo may be featured on our Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, or portfolio unless you let us know at your consultation that you'd like to keep it private.
Your trust is our foundation, and it goes both ways. Honor these policies, and we'll honor you with a one-of-a-kind freehand tribal tattoo you'll be proud to wear for life. Questions? Reach out through Rotten Ink Tattoo Studio, 1980 Weston Rd, York, ON M9N 1W2.
